It is quiet and comfy, which a city needs from a car that doesn’t pollute but still drives like one. After receiving a state government subsidy of Rs 1.8 lakh, the e2o’s on-road pricing was set at Rs 5.96 lakh, which is still on the pricey side. As more competitors try to break into the electric vehicle market, we anticipate declining this number.
How Does It Drive?
The electric motor receives a huge plus with the e2o plus, which is wonderful news. Thus, the 25 horsepower and 70 Nm motors in the P2/P4/P6 models. However, if we choose the top-tier P8 model, the power is increased to 40 horsepower and 91Nm of torque.

Of course, our range decreases the more we utilize the boost mode. As opposed to the preceding cars’ 100 km, the e2o plus’s capability is now 140 km. It takes some time to get acclimated to braking and requires a lot of work. Although it is regenerative, meaning that energy is generated every time we use the brakes and aids in battery recharging, this does not imply that we must press the brake pedal firmly. Regarding the ride quality, because it was a contained environment, it was difficult for us to evaluate the ride and handling. Still, our initial observations indicate that it is fairly agile due to the light steering, small size, and lightweight fiber body. However, the ride quality wasn’t really convincing. The 14-inch screen does a good job of absorbing little undulations, but as soon as it crosses anything worse, the car thumps over it, with most of it leaking into the cabin. Even in the back, the ride quality seems fairly rigid.
Because we’re tech fanatic, who loves to accumulate gadgets or our desire to protect the environment, the e2o is the tech guys’ dream. We receive a remote app for the e2o that essentially allows us to operate most of the vehicle’s capabilities. We can troubleshoot, stop/start charging, and even pre-cool the vehicle by turning on the air conditioning on the air conditioning remotely.
The e2o is also easier to operate and more economical than any automobile with an internal combustion motor if our daily commute is less than 100 km in a city. Additionally, a complete charge takes around eight to nine hours. On the other hand, a quick charger charges the battery to 95% in 90 minutes.
How does it feel inside?
Its high boy style makes getting in and out of the automobile quite simple. The e2o is surprisingly roomy for its size once inside, though. The huge glass housing and beige-colored seats give the impression that the cabin is quite airy. The earlier car’s dashboard law is still present. There are four circular air conditioning vents, and the Blaupunkt screen android infotainment system—Bluetooth, aux, and the usual goodies—takes up much of the center space.
Do use Mahindra E2O cars make good investments today?
Compared to newer choices, E2O is unquestionably a less desirable EV today. However, if we require an electric vehicle right away and anticipate doing a lot of running, go ahead and purchase this one. Our investment can be recovered just from the fuel savings.
