Tata Power and Apollo Tyres are collaborating to build EV charging stations

The electric vehicle charging stations will be installed at 150 retail shops throughout Apollo Tyres’ passenger and commercial vehicle zones and will be accessible to both customers and the general public.

Tata Power has already installed DC001, AC, Type2, and rapid DC chargers with capacities of up to 50kWh throughout the country. Depending on the EV owner, this group of chargers will permit charging both two- and four-wheelers.

Its EZ Charge brand contains a broad charging infrastructure with over 1,000 charge sites in 200 cities. The CEO of Tata power Praveen Sinha said-” We are glad to associate with Apollo tyre for the deployment of charging stations across their passenger and commercial vehicle zone.

This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to the country’s electric vehicle ecosystem’s development and expansion”. President of Asia Pacific Middle East & South Africa, Apollo tyres said-” This is the one more step that we have taken in the tyre and auto component in India”.

According to an agreement between Apollo Tyres and Tata Power, the latter will initially install Charging Stations at 150 of Apollo Tyres’ branded retail shops (CV and PV Zones).

The charging stations would be open to the general public throughout the year, in addition to the customers that visited these tyre retail store
