Damon HyperFighter Electric Superbike 2022 — Specifications, Features

Damon HyperFighter is an electric superbike that is launched at CES 2022. This is a Canadian Electric vehicles maker that has launched its latest electric motorbike at the ongoing CES shopper electronics present in Las Vegas.  

Electric vehicles are the future, everybody will have to drive/ride an EV at some point. When it comes to electric automobiles, a lot of development has been achieved in terms of technology, performance, and design. In comparison, the motorbike industry has made virtually little improvement.

Most electric bikes lack the acceleration and peak speed of their gasoline-powered equivalents, and their range is also restricted. Damon Motorcycles, on the other hand, isn’t like that.

The HyperSport supersport electric motorbike was unveiled at CES 2020 by the Canadian EV manufacturer. The HyperSport changed everyone’s mind about electric bikes by combining fantastic performance statistics, a beautiful look, and a usable range. At the show, it was even awarded the CES 2020 Innovation Award.

Damon Motorcycles has unveiled its latest high-performance motorbike two years later, just as the HyperSport is about to join the assembly line. It’s a streetfighter/naked motorbike called the HyperFighter, and it’s based on the Damon HyperSport.

Damon HyperFighter: Specifications

It comes in three different trim levels: Colossus, Unlimited 20, and Unlimited 15. The Unlimited 15 is propelled by a 15-kilowatt battery pack and a 150-bhp motor. It has a range of 193 kilometres and a peak speed of roughly 241 kilometres per hour. The Unlimited 15 trim comes with a $19,000 price tag (Rs 14.12 lakh)

With a 20kW battery pack and a 200bhp motor, the Unlimited 20 takes things to the next level. It has a range of 233 kilometres and a peak speed of 273.5 kilometres per hour. When it comes to electric cars, this is the next level of speed and performance. It costs $25,000 to buy (Rs 18.57 lakh). There is, however, another massive variation that sits above the Unlimited 20.

It’s known as the Colossus, and it has the same powertrain as the Unlimited 20. The Colossus receives many hardware advancements in addition to its peak speed of 273.5 km/h and range of 233 kilometres. It has a single-sided swingarm, Brembo brakes, and Ohlins suspension, and rides on sporty wheels. The Colossus model costs $35,000 with all of the extra gear (Rs 26.01 lakh).

The Damon HyperFighter is a stripped-down, lighter version of the HyperSport. The HyperSport, in its finest trim, has a peak speed of 321 km/h and a range of 321 kilometres!

Due to the fact that it is a naked motorbike, it must be properly built to conceal the battery pack. Damon Motorcycles’ designers appear to have done an excellent job in this regard. The HyperFIghter sports a monocoque chassis with a battery pack that is nicely integrated into the motorcycle’s design.

It has an aggressive design with a lot of sharp cuts and folds on it. It has already been recognised as an award-winning motorcycle, having won the Good Design Award at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show.

So far, Damon Motorcycles has done an outstanding job of proving all of the critics of electric motorcycles incorrect. Both the HyperSport and the HyperFighter feature everything a high-performance motorcyclist might want. All of the drama, bold design, speed, and technology are present.

It’s now time to wait for the Damon motorbikes to hit the streets and surprise the majority of petrol-powered motorcycles. Is it going to make it to India? Definitely not in the near future, as there is currently no demand for such motorcycles in India. It’s possible that there will be in the not-too-distant future.
